Visual language typographic poster

I drew a quick  portrait sketch in my notebook of my self. I then got magazines  and newspapers and began cutting out different styles of lettering and numbers.  I used the letters to illustrate my face.

In the lab this week we presented our semiotics collage to the class and demonstrated how we put our pictures together using photoshop.

In the lecture we learnt about Typography. Typography is a visual graphic language when used creatively.

we learnt about different styles of writing and how writing evolved such as Roman capitals and Unical script.

At the end of this lecture  we received an assignment, where, we have to produce a typographic poster where we have to sketch a self portrait  and then change this in to a collage using only letter forms from newspapers, magazines, flyers etc.
